Systems Administrator

11-Month position, Technology Department

Responsibilities: 

This district position provides technology support to students and staff by managing server systems and data including on-premises and cloud applications. Additionally, this position assists with network administration, building, and classroom technologies. Common areas of support include data integration, disaster recovery, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux server, MSSQL database, Google Workspace, Office 365, wired and wireless network connectivity, Chromebooks, iPads, network printing, and damaged equipment. Procedural duties include managing accounts for substitutes and equipment inventory.

 

Expectations:

Excellent communication skills are vital to this position, candidates must be able to effectively communicate with staff, students, and parents. Candidates are expected to work in a team or independent setting, take instruction on simple or complex tasks from supervisors or other team members, climb ladders, work overhead, and lift equipment that may weigh 50 pounds.  Successful applications will exhibit a desire for continual learning and willingness to adopt new technologies. The responsibilities of this position will change as new technologies are implemented.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have:

Appropriate education or previous experience is required. Vendor or IT industry certification is a plus.
