Qualifications
•    Master’s Degree or higher in Educational Leadership
•    Valid Missouri Principal Certification - Building-Level Administrator
•    Previous experience as a building leader is preferred

• Demonstrated knowledge of effective instruction, curriculum, assessment, and professional learning
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and a collaborative school culture
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership that supports high-quality teaching and learning, including the implementation of district curriculum, assessment practices, and professional learning priorities.
• Foster a safe, positive, collaborative school culture characterized by high expectations for students and staff.
• Lead the collaborative development, implementation, and monitoring of a building improvement plan aligned with district goals and the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP).
• Supervise and evaluate instructional staff and support professional growth through meaningful feedback and coaching.
• Recruit, interview and evaluate candidates and make hiring recommendations consistent with district procedures.
• Manage the building budget and allocate resources in support of school priorities.
• Provide effective supervision of students, extracurricular activities, and school events.
• Maintain effective systems for student behavior, attendance, safety, and discipline in accordance with Board policy and district procedures.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and community stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with other building principals, department directors, and district administrators to advance district goals and ensure consistency across schools.
